Schedules

How busy are you? I notice that some people seem to have extremely packed schedule. All be it they might be popular so they have a lot of people to spend time with as opposed to me heh. But other than that they have tons and tons of stuff to do. You know like agenda's full of events to book into the life. Some people, it's impossible to get a hold of and hence need cell phones so that you can locate them when they aren't at home (which is always).

Hmmm I dunno, I think I got tons of time to just chill and relax? How busy do you guys feel you are? Is busy good? I don't think I could handle the busy life... it's just too tiring.

Boy I'm getting lazy

I dunno about everyone else, but I'm feeling more and more lazy. The days are longer and the light outside just makes me not feel like working. I study for midterms a day or two before for like 2 or 3 hours and imagine playing more softball. The thing is that when I'm not playing softball I really want to play softball. However, when I'm actually playing I realize about 80% of the time I'm just standing there doing nothing. I guess it's just the ability to hang out with people that makes it so fun, plus the adrenaline rush once in a while. I'm sure if all you people working weren't trapped indoors with few windows and are too busy to notice the weather you may be able to escape the laziness. For me however, Yawn.

Getting Old

Lots of softball this weekend. Incredible weather we've been getting. I just don't understand why I"m so sore. I'm talking about muscles I didn't even know I had. I can barely walk or move and sitting ain't so great either. What's up with muscles now a days? Am I getting old? I get tired so easily now too! Really, I remember when I was young I could run around for hours without getting tired. Now I can't stand for more than 2 worship songs without feeling the burn on my legs.

What is going on? Hmmm. Oh well fun time this weekend. Let's hope I can study for this midterm in one day now since my weekends appear to be a wash!

Stress

How do you deal with stress? Stress is something that everyone has in their life. Sorta like conflict. Is stress good? Hmmm maybe? I don't like it. But stress is a product of stretching yourself right? Or is it just a byproduct of having a really crappy day?

I think my device for dealing with stress is denile. Just forget about and don't think about it. Like I mean, usually things that cause stress only cause it when you think about it. And most of the time you can't do anything about it at that particular time. I wonder how healthy that is though?

Again, how do you deal with it? Do you deal with it? I'm telling you there are people out there who look like they don't deal with it at all. I call those crazy people who you have to walk on nails around... scary!

Interviews

So I some interviews today for coop. Now I realize that I might tend to get very sarcastic and even err jokingly insulting when talking to people for long periods of time. Which are good for conversations for friends. But not so much in interviews for jobs. Well I guess it depends on the interviewer. Atleast you stand out right?

Nehow in terms of jobs. How much emphasis do you put on the company name? Or the job name? like I mean if you had a choice between IBM and a smaller company but the job at the smaller company sounded better. Would you take the bigger name for more money and a not as well suited job? Hmmm... in terms of the future doesn't a resume full of nice names look good? I dunno. What's in a name? Or is everything in the name?

Social Injustice

As superficial as most of my blog posts are... CCSA schedules and what not I do usually once in a while think about things more important. So I went to the prayer meeting on Sunday. I should go to those things more often. At any rate, one of the items was social injustice, poverty and what not. We had a bunch of stats where something like 17% of the population in waterloo is in poverty and the break down of people living on the street. about 80% of these reasons were because the people were running away from something, such as sexual abuse, suicide issues, and what not. I usually don't put a stance on issues like this... but I'll give you what I think about people on the street.

1. Some people actually are down on their luck and don't really want to live out there. I do think there are those ones that you offer a job to and they wouldn't take it because they just don't want to work too.

2. It's case by case, so if one person on the street gives you a rude or bad impression don't put it on all of them.

3. Most of the time they need companionship more than your money.

4. Respect, no matter what give them respect.

5. My stance is, never give money. (It's up to you) I also don't trust people who give you cards saying they have a family or are deaf and what not. I dunno, just seems too sappy to be believable.

6. Believe it or not I've met some homeless people who like not having a home. So don't assume you know what they need.

7. Be careful, let's be honest this world is pretty messed up.

8. However, you have to be compassionate, and whatever level you may choose show some care. As Christians are are obligated to do something.
