Thoughts, Thinkings, and Ideas!

Well, that was fun. Got together with the LCCF crew. Strange how many of us are in Toronto, let a long Richmond Hill. At any rate we all went to a cheap japanese place. 5.95 lots of selection. Comes with soup, salad, and icecream plus the standard bento stuff. Yay! After we went to bowling. Very strange seeing all the girls bowl 120's and 140's especially when they allege they don't play. It must be a balance thing where they can bowl straight while guys have err muscles in the way. Nehow I can't wait until cell groups start. That'll be interesting to see what Rani is planning. She won't tell me.
I also jumped the hurdle of getting a day off to go to summer conference. I hope other people are planning on going, so cheap though 60 dollars. The food alone costs more then that. I can't believe our church is subsidizing so much. Lastly, choir. Hmm I'll see how that goes. Haven't been in choir in ages. Who can remember how to read music? After going to Laurier I feel so inept with all the music people. When some people can do things so much better then you it sucks all the illusions of even trying to think about being close to that. Hahah. Girls sure are lucky, they naturally can sing better. Dont' you notice that most guys that sing well have girly voices? Look at Justin Timberlake. Just an observation.

Well, it's a typical day today. My manager is away today and everything is always slow on Friday's and since all my work stems on other people doing something first... it all works out. I've been reading some blogs, people sure have busy interesting lives in comparison to me. I think I'm going to get a haircut then head to fellowship which is a praise night at Karen's place since it's apparently her b-day too. Which I probably should have remembered since I'm the one who suggested to her to have fellowship at her house on her b-day. So different from that time in my life when I made cards for everyone I knew when it was their b-day. Ahh youthfulness was so good. Grrr, I'm so forgetful lately. More forgetful as time passes. Gets scary sometimes. I might have to digress and get a palm pilot or a planner to keep track (shivers).
It's interesting sitting on the car ride home listening to the radio and all the news going on. Holly Jones updates, how our sports teams are doing, SARS scares, IRAQ issues, school board issues, election promises to election rumours, how our dollar is rising or falling, and of course traffic reports (thank goodness for these, it's a like a smart map to avoid traffic). I'm getting so disensitized, which of course I have to be. Otherwise I might get cynical. Hmmm.

I'm just sitting here with 10 minutes until lunch time just twiddling my thumbs. You know how you don't want to start anything brand new with only a few minutes left.
Hmmm softball, sure is stressful. It's hard to balance the spiritual coolness with the competitiveness. Both junior teams are pretty big, which is great because it just says that even though we don't win people still love to join. However, big teams aren't necessarily the best in terms of playing. Hopefully everything turns out alright. Still trying to decide if I should do some shifting with soldiers 1 which of course will only help a little bit. I got to think up some great devos though. Hmmm, usually I'm inspired by topics I hear about, but they are just too hardcore for the non-Christians so I have to find some medium. Hmmm does anyone have any good ideas on what devos I should do? I know you're out there! heh.
Nehow this is totally not like my normal ramblings but I'm trying to type fast before people notice I'm blogging at work. My desk is so visible, the most visible in the building actually. (Other then reception).

Firstly, I'm so tired. The schedule was pretty grueling with a scheduled 7 hours of sleep not including the talking that goes on after the program is over. Program starts at 7 and ends at 1am. haha. Insane! But, having it packed gave a lot more actual stuff to challenge us on. The best thing I'll pull from the campus challenge is the ability to have a better vision of where I want to go and the ambition that so many people had there. Also it's good to see how amazing other CCF's are and the people that go there. From Hamilton CCF, York CCF, Ryerson CCF, Western ACF, UT CCF, Waterloo CCF, Laurier CCF, Kingston CCF, Guelph ACF and so much more. It's pretty crazy meeting so many people like that. Makes you wish that we had more events like that.

Fortunetly for me I'm not part of the large statistic of the youth population currently spending time as a stay at home student. I've been fortunate enough to have a good coop job. Surprisingly enough it's not something I sit and twiddle my thumbs. I'm actually getting stressed, and have to think to do stuff. It's amazing at how you think business is useless and yet you go to an area when you see people using all these "business skills" . Frankly in a working environment people seem to be obsessed with acronyms. Words have lost all meaning as letters seem to rule reports and conversation. You can imagine how I use these acronyms and have no idea what they stand for. The only sucky thing about working is that I'm so tired I don't get to play as much as i would like. Where are all you people? Let's go play! As much fun as it is to watch movies perhaps we could so something a little more interactive?
At any rate I hope you're all having fun this summer. Enjoy it while your young. Because when you get older it all goes down hill. Now where's that cane?
